The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has announced its nominations for The 82nd Academy Awards on Tuesday morning, and Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's Ponyo anime film is not among the five nominated films in the Animated Feature Film category.
The five nominated films are:

* Fantastic Mr. Fox (Wes Anderson)

ANN is now streaming the entire Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam science-fiction television anime series with English subtitles, as well as two more subtitled trailers for the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam UC video anime series. All 50 episodes of Zeta Gundam will remain online until April 22.

Kuroshitsuji II to Debut in July with New Butler, Master |

The official website of the Kuroshitsuji anime has confirmed on Monday that the Kuroshitsuji II sequel will premiere in July with a new butler and a new master. The new cast of Takahiro Sakurai as the butler Claude Faustas and Nana Mizuki as the master Alois Trancy was revealed during "Sono Shitsuji, Kyōsō ~Akai Valentine~," Sunday's event for purchasers of the seventh and eighth DVD volumes of the first series.

Director Scott Stewart is planning something special for the opening of Priest, the live-action film he is adapting from the manhwa series by Hyung Min-woo published here by Tokyopop. Stewart is commissioning an “R”-rated animated prologue for Priest that will depict the war between humans and vampires through the ages.
